Two stalwarts of the Oxford circuit were honoured in the New Year's Honours list when both Jim Hewitt and Trevor Cowlett were awarded MBEs.

Pet rabbits Billy and Boris are pictured with owners Martha Stepney (left) and Molly Clarke (right) at Kidlington’s annual pet service. Billy and Boris were joined by Musha, the chaotic Labrador, and Woodstock, an insomniac tortoise who just refuses to hibernate! Other pets were featured on a big screen photo display and included chickens, guinea pigs, cats, more dogs and a ferret!
