Simon Pillinger
I was brought up in the beautiful cathedral city of Lincoln and studied Archaeology at The University Of Manchester, specialising in the ancient Near East. Whilst study in Manchester I met my fiancé, Amy, who has just started her final year of her Midwifery degree.
I have been involved with youth work within the church since my teens, and have a continued passion for outreach. Currently I am training as a Local Preacher, with a keen interest in new ways of doing church, and finding ways to use archaeological knowledge to bring the Bible to life. I am also privileged to be a member of Methodist Conference.
In my spare time, I am a musician and writer, focussing on my blog and the novel I am attempting to write. If you are a Tweeter, please feel free to follow me, @archaeometh.
Simon joined the team in November 2011 and is the circuit's student and young people's worker, focussing particularly on making connections with those in the 18 to 35 age bracket.
