The church was established in 1842 and has continued to serve the community through regular weekly services, ecumenical fellowship and outreach.

Over many years, the membership has evolved. However, the warm welcome and friendship that is a hallmark of the church continues. Those members follow in Christ's footsteps and aim to be available to support and encourage, especially in times of need.
